Sometimes, through the sense of taste, you can turn back the clock. This recipe will help you cook those same canned green tomatoes and return to Soviet times for a moment. The technology for preparing this blank in a home kitchen is somewhat different, because at the factories at that time the product was processed in special thermostats. Well, at home, you can use the method of the usual sterilization in water. The amount of ingredients is indicated to obtain three liters of ready-made tomatoes.

Depending on the volume and number of the selected cans, the specified amount of salt, sugar, herbs, spices and vinegar must be divided into equal parts. Put prepared herbs, bay leaves, peppercorns, chopped chili and garlic in clean dry jars. Lay green tomatoes tightly on top. Pour salt and granulated sugar over the tomatoes. Pour boiling water over the jars of tomatoes, then pour in the vinegar. We cover the cans with tin lids and put them in a container with cold water. The water should be up to 2/3 of the height of the cans. We put the container with the installed jars on the stove, bring the water to a boil and sterilize the tomatoes within fifteen minutes from the moment of boiling.
