Green pickled sweet tomatoes

In late autumn, removing from the greenhouse vegetables that have not yet ripened, we ask ourselves the question: "What to cook of them?" We share with you an excellent recipe for pickled green tomatoes with the unusual name "frogs". They are called so due to the fact that during the cooking process they are cut in half and stuffed with garlic, resembling croaking frogs in shape. Having heard such a bizarre name, children will be happy to come to your aid, and then they will be happy to taste the blank made with their own hands.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
For seaming, choose good fruits of approximately the same size. We rinse them under running cool water and lay them on a towel so that they dry out a little.
step 2 out of 6
Peel the carrots, rinse and cut into thin slices. Clean the garlic, rinse and cut the cloves in half.
step 3 out of 6
Using a sharp knife, cut each tomato on the back of the stalk and stuff it with a piece of garlic.
step 4 out of 6
At the bottom of a sterilized jar, put an umbrella of dill, currant leaves and a part of chopped carrots.
step 5 out of 6
Then put the tomatoes tightly into the jar, sprinkling with the remaining carrots. Pour boiling water over them and leave to steam for 10-15 minutes. Then pour the water from the jar into the pan.
step 6 out of 6
Add sugar and salt to the water, bring the marinade to a boil. At the end, add vinegar, cook for one minute and remove the marinade from heat. Pour the hot marinade into a jar and tighten the lid tightly. Turn the jar upside down and leave it to cool completely. Then we remove the tomatoes for storage in a cool place.
