Even tough green tomatoes, when properly salted, can be a real delicacy. Housewives always want to achieve the taste of barrel tomatoes that are sold on the market. This recipe will show you how to do it.

Choose tomatoes of medium size, regular shape with a smooth surface. Wash the vegetables and cut off the stalks.

Prepare seaming jars, wash and sterilize them. Boil the lids. Wash greens and hot peppers, peel the garlic.

Place horseradish and cherry leaves, hot peppers and a couple of garlic cloves at the bottom of the bottles. Fill the jars halfway with the tomatoes, then add another layer of horseradish leaves, dill and garlic. Add the tomatoes to the top of the jar, and put a few grapes in the jars as well.

Prepare the brine. Dissolve salt in water, at the rate of 50 grams per 1 liter of liquid. Put the brine on fire, bring it to a boil. Pour hot brine over the tomato jars, close the lids and place in a cool place for 15-17 days. Salted tomatoes can be served with boiled potatoes, meat, or used in other dishes.
