Green tomatoes in apple juice

Tomatoes in apple juice are cooked without vinegar or sugar. The acidity in the juice preserves the vegetables and gives them a pleasant sweet and sour taste.

Wash the tomatoes under running water and dry them. On each vegetable, make several punctures with a fine toothpick.

Place the tomatoes tightly in the jars. Boil water and pour it over the jars of tomatoes, leave for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the water and repeat this again.

Sprinkle salt directly on the tomatoes. Boil the apple juice in a saucepan and pour over the tomatoes. Roll the lids over the jars, then turn them upside down and leave to cool completely at room temperature.
