Lingonberry jelly for the winter

Lingonberries are cooked for about 5 minutes along with water, after which sugar is added to it and everything is cooked for another half hour. The jelly is poured into sterilized jars and rolled up.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We sort out the lingonberries, remove the leaves, tails and spoiled fruits. We transfer the berries to a colander and rinse thoroughly under running water. Then pour them into a heavy-bottomed saucepan.
step 2 out of 6
Pour water to the berries and set everything on fire. Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat so that the lingonberries burst and let the juice out
step 3 out of 6
Pour out granulated sugar. You can add less if you want a less sweet version of the jelly.
step 4 out of 6
We return it back to the fire and first cook for 10 minutes over high heat, and then cook for another 20 minutes over low.
step 5 out of 6
We check the readiness of the jelly. We drip a drop on the saucer and tilt it to the sides. If it does not blur, then everything is ready.
step 6 out of 6
We sterilize jars with lids in a suitable way. Pour even hotter jelly into containers and roll up. Let it stand for some time until it cools completely, after which we put the jars in a place suitable for storage. We take it out in winter and enjoy delicious and healthy lingonberry jelly. Bon Appetit!
