Blackcurrant jelly without gelatin

Naturally, blackcurrant jelly is rich in vitamin C. It is not only a delicious homemade delicacy, but also a folk remedy for mild colds.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Sort out currant berries from leaves, twigs, wash and dry on a towel.
step 2 out of 4
Transfer the clean berries to a saucepan and mash them with a crush until mashed. Put the saucepan on the fire and bring the berry mixture to a simmer, then simmer for 10 minutes.
step 3 out of 4
Squeeze the cooled jam through cheesecloth or rub through a fine sieve.
step 4 out of 4
Mix the resulting juice with sugar and cook for 20 minutes. Pour hot jam into clean, sterilized jars and cover them with lids. As it cools, the berry mass becomes gelatinous without a refrigerator. When the jelly in the jars hardens, close them tightly with the lids.

Bon Appetit!
