Blackcurrant jelly five minutes

Blackcurrant jelly "five minutes" retains a large amount of vitamins. It turns out not cloying with a pleasant sourness. Blackcurrant jelly will be a great layer in homemade cakes and pies. If you want the jelly to be sweeter, add more granulated sugar.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Sort out the black currants, rinse with running water, transfer to a colander so that the excess liquid is glass.
step 2 out of 6
Chop pure currants in a convenient way - pass through a meat grinder or punch with a submersible blender, you can also use a food processor.
step 3 out of 6
Rub the chopped currants through a sieve or cheesecloth folded several times.
step 4 out of 6
To avoid getting your hands dirty, wear disposable gloves. Squeeze the cheesecloth with your hands.
step 5 out of 6
Transfer the mass to a saucepan with a thick bottom, add granulated sugar. Put a saucepan on low heat and heat until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
step 6 out of 6
Pour hot jam into pre-sterilized jars (you can sterilize jars in the oven, in the microwave or in a water bath). Close with clean dry lids. Fully cooled jelly will thicken well. Store the jelly in the refrigerator.

Bon Appetit!
