Strawberry jelly with agar agar for cake

Strawberry jelly is a great decoration and layer of cakes. The bright aromatic layer will not only visually revive the baked goods, but also noticeably enrich its taste. Such jelly can be prepared both from fresh berries and from frozen ones.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Pour the agar-agar into a small container and fill it with 250 milliliters of water at room temperature, mix and set aside.
step 2 out of 5
We sort out the strawberries, remove the defective specimens. We wash the prepared berries well in running water, remove the sepals. Let the washed berries dry a little by placing them on a clean, dry towel. We cut the strawberries into slices - we will spread them on the cake as a "filler" for jelly.
step 3 out of 5
We place the strawberries in a deep container, cover with granulated sugar, pour in the remaining 100 milliliters of water, mix. We put on the stove, bring to a boil, boil over medium heat for three to five minutes. We remove from the stove.
step 4 out of 5
We put the strawberries on a sieve, let the syrup drain. Mix the syrup with the soaked agar agar. We put the syrup on the stove, bring to a boil while stirring, remove from the stove and let cool.
step 5 out of 5
Put the berries of the boiled and cooled strawberries on the cake, fill them with chilled syrup with agar-agar. If necessary, use a foil side or a cake ring so that the jelly does not spread until it hardens. We place the product in the refrigerator so that the jelly grabs well.
Bon Appetit!
