Gooseberry jelly with orange for the winter

Gooseberry orange jelly is called the vitamin bomb for the winter table and is prepared without boiling. For jelly, gooseberry berries of a dark color and ripe are chosen, since they contain the greatest amount of natural pectin. In order for this dessert to gel well, the correct ratio of berries and sugar is important, because pectin exerts its effect only when combined with sugar. The orange will give the jam its unique citrus aroma. Such a workpiece can be stored well in a cold place for 6 months.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Before making jelly, carry out the primary processing of fruits and berries. For gooseberries, remove the tails from both sides with small scissors. Then rinse the berries thoroughly with warm water and dry well with a kitchen towel. Pour the prepared gooseberries into the bowl of a blender or food processor.
step 2 out of 5
Rinse the oranges well. Then remove the rind, pits and any white partitions. Place the orange slices in a bowl on top of the gooseberries.
step 3 out of 5
Chop the gooseberries with orange until puree at any speed of the appliance, setting the time to your liking, because someone loves homogeneous jelly, and someone with pieces of berries.
step 4 out of 5
Pour the resulting puree from the bowl into a separate bowl, add sugar to it in the proportion indicated in the recipe and mix well with a spoon so that it dissolves completely.
step 5 out of 5
Then transfer the raw gooseberry and orange jam to a dry sterile jar. Make a spoonful of sugar on top of the sugar cap and close the jar with any lid or piece of parchment paper. Store the jam in the refrigerator.
Happy and tasty preparations!
